I built my first casket a few years ago. My wife's mother, Mary, was living with us. As her health began to deteriorate, my wife and I began making inquiries into funeral arrangements. After considering the choices and costs available to us, we decided on a traditional burial service. Mary passed away in our home. Our children and I built her casket. My wife prepared the body. We took the casket to the cemetery and performed a beautiful service for Mary, surrounded by friends and loved ones. She was buried with dignity and honor. It was a wonderful and meaningful experience.
